Terms of Website Use
The conditions on which you may access and use this website.
Website terms
These are standard UK website terms of use for review. They are not a licence to reproduce artwork and are not yet approved Estate legal wording.
1. About these terms
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms govern access to the public website only. Licensing of artwork is handled separately and requires express permission from the Estate.
2. Who we are
This website is operated by the Charles Tunnicliffe Estate. Contact details for general enquiries appear on the Contact page once confirmed.
3. Using this website
You may view and browse the public pages for personal, informational and non-commercial research purposes. You must not misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or use it in a way that is unlawful or harmful.
4. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, copyright and related rights in the website’s text, design and arrangement belong to the Estate or its licensors. Artwork by Charles Tunnicliffe remains subject to copyright as applicable. Low-resolution display images are shown for identification and appreciation only.
Nothing on this website grants permission to copy, publish, adapt, distribute or otherwise exploit any artwork. Please see Copyright and licensing and Request permission.
5. Accuracy of information
We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but content may be incomplete, draft or subject to change. Biographical, research and gallery entries may include material pending family review. Do not rely on this website as a definitive legal opinion about rights in any particular work.
6. Third-party links
Links to museums, societies and other external sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by English law, the Estate excludes liability for loss or damage arising from use of this website, except where liability cannot be excluded (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). This website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
8. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
9. Changes
We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply.
