Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making this website usable by as many people as possible.
Accessibility
This follows conventional UK public-sector style accessibility statement wording for review. It is not yet an audited WCAG conformance claim. A formal WCAG 2.2 AA audit remains planned for a later milestone.
1. Commitment
The Charles Tunnicliffe Estate aims to make this website accessible and inclusive. We want visitors, researchers and licensing enquirers to be able to find information clearly, regardless of ability or the technology they use.
2. Standards we aim to meet
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That work is ongoing; this statement will be updated when a formal audit has been completed.
3. Measures we take
- semantic HTML structure and meaningful page titles;
- a skip link to main content;
- visible focus styles and keyboard-operable navigation;
- text alternatives for informative images where provided;
- respect for
prefers-reduced-motionwhere decorative motion is used; and - contrast and typography chosen for readable, restrained presentation.
4. Known limitations
As a developing site, some areas may not yet meet AA fully. Examples may include complex future document downloads, third-party embeds, or older uploaded materials. Gallery placeholders are decorative stand-ins pending approved artwork images.
5. Feedback and contact
If you find an accessibility problem, or need information in a different format, please contact us via the details on the Contact page. We will consider requests and respond as promptly as we can.
6. Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for advice. See equalityadvisoryservice.com.
7. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared in August 2026 as a draft template for Estate review. It will be revised following accessibility testing and any public-launch decisions.
Last updated: August 2026 (draft template).
